Ana Isabel Trigo Morais has a degree in Law from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a
post-graduate diploma in Top Business Management from the AESE. She is CEO of APED – Associação Portuguesa de Empresas de Distribuição, an association that represents 130 modern distribution companies with over 100,000 employees and an aggregate turnover of 10.5% of Portugal’s GDP.
Francisco Nunes Correia was Minister of the Environment, Spatial Planning and Regional Development from March 2005 to October 2009. He was awarded the honour of Grande-Oficial da Ordem do Infante D. Henrique in June 2010.
He is Chaired Professor in the Scientific Area of Environment and Water Resources at the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geo-resources at Instituto Superior Técnico. He is a member of the High Level Steering Group of the European Innovation Partnership on Water as part of the EU Framework Programme Horizon 2020.
Viriato Soromenho Marques has a PhD in Philosophy from Universidade de Lisboa He is a member of a number of scientific societies and organisations in Portugal and abroad: Sociedade Portuguesa de Filosofia, International Society for Ecological Economics, American Political Science Association and Associação Portuguesa de Ciência Política. He is currently Chaired Professor of the Faculty of Arts at Universidade de Lisboa. He has worked tirelessly in environmental protection associations since 1978.
Nuno Lacasta has been working on environmental and sustainable development issues in Europe and the United States for around 16 years. He has been a civil servant since 2002 and has been President of APA, I.P. since February 2012. From 2006–2012 he was Coordinator of the Executive Committee of the Climate Change Commission (CECAC) and manager of the Portuguese Carbon Fund.
He was Director of the International Relations Office of the Ministry of the Environment from 2004 to 2007.
He is a guest lecturer in environmental law and policies at the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Jorge Rodrigues has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Universidade do Porto. He has been Chairman of the Board of SUMA – Serviços Urbanos e Meio Ambiente since 2009.

Mota-Engil Ambiente e Serviços, SERURB and RIMA.
Guest chaired professor at ISEG, lecturer in master’s and post-graduate courses as part of cooperation with other universities and higher education institutions.

Consultant to Portuguese and foreign agencies and institutions and author of over 100 presentations at seminars and a vast oeuvre published in Portuguese and international scientific communities.
